How Do You Know You're Going To Heaven?

This is another easy one. If you don't want to live your life over again, you're going to heaven. People going to heaven don't want to risk changing a thing. They did everything the right way the FIRST TIME and the paid for their mistakes along the way. They don't want to be put through those same choices again. They might be tempted to take the easy way out the second time around. Thus losing their right to go to heaven.

It makes sense. If you won $100 million dollars in the lottery, would you want to give it up and play again to see if you could win the $100 million again? I know I wouldn't. I'd keep the $100 million and enjoy it.

If you wouldn't risk $100 million why would you want to give up your right to go to heaven. I sure don't. So I'm never going to want to relive my life again. I'm proud of everything I did and everything I accomplished during my life. I might not have been the best, smartest, sexiest, .... but I made the best of what God gave me to work with. I raised two (2) sons that didn't get into trouble as kids, got good grades and both got married before they were 25. Both of them and I have lived very happy, healthy lives and I wouldn't want to risk that either.

Nope, I don't want to change a thing in my life. I'm not going to risk my children's health or have more children or less children. God must have heard all my prayers all my life (BIG SURPRISE RIGHT), because I seem to do all the RIGHT things at the RIGHT times and I know I couldn't have done that on my own.

I won't say life didn't have its ups and downs. I had my share of disappointments, sicknesses, accidents, .... but they were God's way of teaching me lesson and to prepare me for one of the devil's tests. If God hadn't taught me those lessons, I would have fell for a lot of the devils tricks, just like Adam and Eve.

For example, as a kid I got into my share of trouble and I tried lying my way out a couple of times but God made me smart enough to learn that you don't get by with just one lie and to keep the secret you have to keep lying but in time you get caught anyway. The difference is when you do get caught it's much worse than if you'd taken the blame for the first problem up front. In fact, think of all the stress and hiding you put yourself though while you were trying to hide that lie. If you had told the true up front you would have paid a much smaller price for that one mistake plus you wouldn't have had to go through the stress of hiding that lie. Only God knows what the health impacts are on your mind and body when you're trying to hide a lie but I bet it’s a lot. I bet that's one of the reasons I never had any problems sleeping at night. I never had a guilty concience.

I'll let you in on a secret of mine. If you're at a fork in the road of life and you know one way is the RIGHT WAY and the other is the WRONG WAY (have to do something bad), I'll bet the WRONG WAY looks like the easy way out but just like lying it gets more complicated as you move further down that fork and backing up to take the other road usually ain't an option. So do what I do, don't pick either path. Delay the choice by doing something else instead. The longer you wait at that fork the better your chances of getting help from God to make the RIGHT Choice. By waiting you give God a chance to enlighten you and help you find and easier way to do the right thing. He might also show you a third path that you didn't notice and best of all He might close the road for the bad path. It's happened to me. I've waited so long that it became to late to take the bad or wrong path, so I had to do the RIGHT thing weather I wanted to or not. It's like thinking about lying your way out but waiting while you think about it. Then finding out the evidence proved you did it (maybe an eyewitness came forward while you were thinking about lying). It doesn't make any sense to lie now. No one is going to believe your lie anyway. So in a way God blocked the bad road and forced you to take the RIGHT ROAD. You could also think of it as a way to paint yourself into a corner that only leaves you one way out, THE RIGHT WAY.

That's the concept. It works. I know it does because I use it ALL THE TIME. A judge once put me in a jail cell hoping I'd pay my back alimony (it was in a bank escrow account). I was withholding the money to try and force my ex-wife to let me copy the videos, I took of the kids while they were young. She wouldn't let me make those copies, so I wouldn't give her the alimony money. I did give her copies of all the bank deposits, so she knew where the money was. She was just a BITCH and refused to let me have a copy of those movies. Oh yeah, she did lie about saying she made the copies and took them to my apartment but I wasn't there at the time. If that story was right why not give me the copies now.

Anyway I didn't give her the alimony money and the judge put me in jail for contempt of court. So by doing nothing I was forced down the RIGHT ROAD. About a week later, after both my adult sons failed to help me get a copies of those videos, I decided I didn't need to see their videos after all. So I paid the back alimony and got out of jail. It was God's way of testing me and my kids to see how GOOD we were. I fought for my kids but my sons weren't as good. They didn't do the RIGHT things. If they had, I would have the videos, my ex-wife would have gotten the money and everyone would have been happy. That's the way it's suppose to work. If we all treat each other fair and the way would we like to be treated if the situation was reversed, we'd all get to heaven. Unfortunately, the devil has to collect a few souls too. Actually, I've always believed he gets more than God because it's easier to do the wrong things in life. I wish that wasn't true but it is and I wouldn't want people I couldn't get along with to be in heaven with me. They'd make heaven into hell. Just think about it. Would you be happy if the person that took advantage of you all your life live next door to you in heaven? I know I wouldn't and I wouldn't call that heaven. I think that would be more like hell.

Anyway, I have no doubt in my mind that I'm going to be in heaven real soon. I won't have any trouble living with people just like me for the rest of eternity. Can you say the same thing? How helpful are you when your neighbors need a hand? Do you help the less fortunate? Remember, they're God's children too. In fact, they might even be God testing you to see if you deserve to go to heaven.

I really don't care which choice you make. God is going to put you with people just like yourself. I can't wait to be with people just like me for the rest of eternity. If you don't love you neighbor as yourself, I know I won't see you in heaven with me. You'll be with people who think and act just like you. You'll be with people who think and act just like you but we won't be together.

Have a nice day but think about who you'll be spending eternity with. Maybe it'll help you be a better person, so you can spend eternity with better people. Now you know why I believe there are different levels of heaven and hell. It makes sense and it's the fare way to handle it. I believe God is fare and He's smarter than Soloman. So don't be surprised if He doesn't have a way of providing better accomodations or lesser accomodations in both heaven and hell for different levels or classes of followers and believers in God. It's not what you say that counts. It's what you do that makes all the difference.

My God and Father help us
get to heaven. In Thy name we ask

Amen
